Privacy Policy
Last reviewed: November 2026. This policy describes what Bitrate Analytics does with information when you read these pages. It is written to be read, not to be skimmed past.
Summary of our position
We collect as little as possible. This is a static editorial reference: it presents text, tables and self-authored diagrams. It runs no analytics agent, sets no advertising identifier, and shares nothing with third parties. Our default assumption is that a reader's visit is their own business.
What is processed when you read a page
Serving any page on the web requires a server to receive a request. The operator of the hosting infrastructure may record ordinary technical details such as the requesting address and the time of the request, for the purpose of keeping the service available and secure. We do not use those records to build profiles, and we do not combine them with anything else.
Cookies and local preferences
This site sets no cookies and makes no use of local storage. The notice strip at the foot of each page is controlled entirely by styling inside your browser, and dismissing it writes nothing anywhere. The cookie notice describes the position in full.
Forms
Our contact form does not deliver your text to us. Selecting Send opens a confirmation page inside this site and passes the entry through the page address; nothing is read, stored, processed or forwarded by the page itself, though ordinary request details may be recorded by the hosting infrastructure as described above. A reader who wants a reply should write to [email protected] directly.
Your choices
You may disable cookies in your browser without losing access to any page here, because no content on this site depends on them. You may request an explanation of any practice described in this policy by writing to the editorial mailbox.
Children
This material is technical reference documentation aimed at an adult professional audience. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
If our practices change, we will revise this page and update the review date above. Because our practices are deliberately minimal, we do not expect frequent revisions.
