Bitrate Analytics is an editorial reference. It publishes analytical text, reference tables and self-authored diagrams about digital video compression standards. It is not a storefront, a distribution point for any file, or a service that performs encoding on your behalf.

You may read, print and quote material from this site for personal, educational and professional purposes, provided you attribute it to Bitrate Analytics and do not present it as your own. You may link to any page. Systematic copying of the desk for republication elsewhere requires written permission.

No files are distributed here

This site hosts no distributable packages, packages, archives or binaries of any kind. Any suggestion to the contrary is incorrect. The only resources a reader can save are the pages themselves and the images that illustrate them, and even those are presented for reading rather than for redistribution.

Accuracy and reliance

We write carefully and we state the conditions attached to every figure. Even so, compression behaviour depends on content, hardware and delivery targets, and a planning anchor is not a guarantee. You are responsible for validating any configuration on your own material before relying on it.

The editorial text, the design, the diagrams and the illustrations authored for this desk are our property. Project names that appear in comparative material belong to their respective owners and are used descriptively.
